At The Fellowship of Integral Spirituality (FOIS), we believe that spiritual growth is rooted in spiritually healthy practices, not dogma. We are an interspiritual fellowship that has brought together individuals and communities from diverse traditions, uniting around the shared human journey of spiritual transformation. As an ecclesiastical fellowship, we honor the belief that each person’s path is not a mere solitary endeavor but an indispensable contribution to the totality of human experience. 

Rather than focusing on , we focusing on doctrines that divide, we believe there is a class of clergy and laypeople whose calling is centered around building bridges rather than parsing distinctives. We do not try to dilute such distinctives by calling on our members to dissolve those differences, but we we center our common fellowship around the primacy of supporting others in the ongoing development of personal and communal spiritual practice that leads toward personal and communal transformation.

No matter the doctrinal distrinctives of individuals and communities, FOIS members and communal gatherings believe in the power of using spiritual practices as a way of deepening their connection to the Divine, themselves, and each other. At FOIS, we call these spiritual disciplines “integral life practices,” as they are practices in which all people engage simply through as they seek to grow. As human beings, we are always changing – always evolving, though we often do so unconsciously. Integral life practice is about engaging daily practices in a conscious and disciplined way that uplifts our spirit and connects us to a higher purpose, experience, or Being, often referred to with titles such as God, Spirit, Source, Ground, or Energy – that in which, in the words of an ancient pagan poem, we “live, move, and have our being.”

Our fellowship is built on the understanding that we are all One, connected by the same animating force that runs through all life. While our paths may differ, the integral life practices that lead us toward spiritual awakening and growth are universal. By embracing the wisdom, devotion, and practices of many traditions, we honor the diversity of the world’s spiritual heritage while recognizing the unity that binds us together.
